Memberships

Plenary Membership – $20.00

Plenary Membership is available to individuals who are actively engaged in the practice, science, or technology of radiation safety. This membership category represents the core professional body of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Health Physics Society (ETCHPS).

Plenary Members receive:

Dues

Plenary Member dues are determined annually by the Chapter’s Executive Council. In the absence of affirmative action to change the dues in any given year, the amount shall remain the same as the previous year.

Emeritus Membership – $10.00

Emeritus Membership honors senior members of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Health Physics Society (ETCHPS) who have made significant contributions to the profession and the Chapter.

This membership category is intended for individuals who have reached the age of 60 and are no longer active in the profession of radiation safety

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for Emeritus Membership, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

Plenary Members who wish to be considered for Emeritus status may submit a written request to the Chapter Secretary.

Individuals who have been designated as Members Emeritus of the Health Physics Society (HPS) may also become Members Emeritus of the Chapter by providing documentation of their HPS Emeritus status.

Benefits and Dues

Members Emeritus retain the same benefits as Plenary Members. Chapter dues for Members Emeritus are set at 50% of the current Plenary Member dues.

Affiliate Membership – $300.00 per year

Affiliate Membership is available to organizations whose interests in the field of radiation safety align with and support the mission of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Health Physics Society (ETCHPS). This category is designed to foster a formal working relationship between the Chapter and companies, institutions, and organizations engaged in radiation protection and related disciplines.

Affiliate Benefits Include:

Affiliate Members do not hold voting rights within the Chapter unless an individual representative is also a Plenary Member.

Affiliate dues are determined annually by the Chapter’s Executive Council. In the absence of affirmative action to change the dues in a given year, the amount shall remain the same as the previous year.

We welcome organizations committed to advancing radiation safety and professional collaboration in East Tennessee.

Student  Membership-Free

Student Membership is available to individuals actively engaged in academic study in a field allied with one or more health physics disciplines. This category is designed to support and encourage the next generation of radiation safety professionals.

Membership Benefits

Student Members receive:

Student Members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to hold office within the Chapter while holding Student Membership status.

Eligibility and Dues

Student Members must provide proof of current student status annually to maintain membership.

Dues for Student Membership are determined annually by the Executive Council of the Chapter. In the absence of affirmative action to change the dues in any given year, the amount shall remain the same as the previous year.

Student Membership accounts are provided at no cost. To establish a Student Membership account, please contact Chapter administration.

Dues Information

Membership dues for the East Tennessee Chapter of the Health Physics Society (ETCHPS) are assessed on a calendar-year basis (January through December).

Applications received after October 1 will be processed for the following calendar year.
